NEPT seeks therapists who want to become leaders. We offer therapists the chance to invest in their skills as well as build their business knowledge. Therapists can build a career with us, as our practice is always looking to grow and we have a record of promoting from within. We have also supported therapists in opening their own clinics.
Clinical Education Program
We invest up to $2,000 annually in a therapist’s education, one of the highest amounts in New England. Most recently, our therapists have taken the following courses:
Therapeutic Taping Techniques; Lymphedema; Rotator Cuff Syndrome: From Impingement to Post Operative Rehab; Current Concepts in Managing Knee Dysfunction; Documenting Student Performance with the Physical Therapist Assistant Clinical Performance Instrument; Certified Clinical Instructor; “Conquering Pain”; “When the Feet Hit the Ground…Everything Changes:” Level 1 course; The Pelvic Floor & the Female Athlete; Physical Therapy and PQRS; Medicare regulations; NIH human subjects training; UPMC for Low Back Pain; Advanced Orthopedics for Worker’s Compensation and Occupational Health Professionals; Current Concepts on Evaluation, Examination, and Rehabilitation of the Knee; APTA credentialed Clinical Instructor; Implementing Direct Access in Physical Therapy Practice; and Functional Capacity Evaluation.
NEPT is proud to partner with colleges and universities around New England to provide PT students with clinical experience.
We believe that quality clinical education is an integral part of a student’s professional training. NEPT matches students with board certified clinical instructors for both part-time and full-time clinical internships and co-op placements. These jobs expose students to a variety of patient populations, ages, and diagnoses; give them the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in real-life situations; and allow them to develop professionally under the supervision of a qualified physical therapist.
NEPT has close working relationships with local orthopedic and hospital research groups, putting us at the forefront of evidenced-based practice.
We’re currently partnered with Boston Medical Center to provide physical therapy services as part of an NIH funded research study. Under the guidance of an industry expert, we will follow an evidence-based treatment protocol to study the effects of physical therapy exercises on chronic low back pain in minority populations.
