I recently completed treating an 82 year-old male status/post left total knee replacement: treatment included soft tissue massage, patellofemoral joint mobilizations, passive range of motion, left lower extremity stretching, gait training, and therapeutic exercises to strengthen and improve balance thoughout the left lower leg. After 3-4 weeks of physical therapy, patient was able to complete full rotations on the bike, walk without an assistive device with less pain and better form, and ascend/descend stairs easier.
