A 65-y/o female patient who has a history of elbow fracture with ORIF. She developed an infection and required a follow-up surgical release of a contracture 6-months later. She presented with +75-degrees flexion and -15-degrees extension on th3e initial evaluation. Treatment consisted of Ultrasound, Russian electrical stimulation to facilitate contract relax stretching and deep tissue friction massage during passive stretching. After 22-visits her ROM is -2-degrees extension and 133-degrees flexion. A Dyna-splint was used at home to maintain ROM between visits.
